 For the second time Integrated Wireless sponsored the Annual Hospital & Healthcare Security & Safety Conference(AHHSS) which was held in Brisbane, QLD. Many healthcare security specialists from Australia and New Zealand gathered to hear both local and international speakers discuss and offer advice on how to plan and handle security in a healthcare environment.
"It was a great opportunity to meet people dedicated to providing security in the unique environment that is healthcare and agedcare”, says Will Granger (National Sales Manager at IW). “The reality is that healthcare security has a very unique dynamic not really associated with other markets. In healthcare the clients are there to be helped and the staff have to operate in the clients personal space and this is where a lot of the risk to staff lies. Healthcare staff have to be engaged and also exercise caution which is a hard balance to maintain. To help them operate in these situations they need fit for purpose personal security tools that optimise their safety.”
